Notice to Tenant After Purchase - Assignment of Tenancy
After purchasing a property or some other assignment (e.g. inheritance), the landlord must inform the tenant of their name and address.
This template notifies the tenant that you are the new landlord assigned the tenancy and provides your contact details. It also includes optional bank details for changing the tenant's standing order for the rent.
The address supplied must be in England or Wales as the template combines Section 3 Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Section 48 Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.
The template is in Word format and can be edited to suit your needs. You should change anything in [square brackets] to your details.
If the landlord's name has changed (for example, after marriage) or the address has changed during the tenancy (for example moving home), you would use the section 48 notice without section 3 instead, available here on the website.
