How to Edit Forms in Tenancy Builder
If you need to edit possession notices (such as Section 21, RHW16, RHW12 or Section 13), rent increase forms, or other documents created in the "Other Forms" section of Tenancy Builder, please follow these steps:
- Go to Tenancy Builder and select Other Forms from the sidebar menu.
- Locate the form you want to edit in your list of forms.
- Click the Actions button next to the form and choose Edit.
- Update the dates or other details as needed, then submit the changes.
- A new PDF will be generated based on your edits, replacing the previous version.
Important Notes About Editing Forms
- Editing is only available for approximately 180 days (about six months) after the form is created. After this period, the Edit option will disappear to prevent accidental changes to important documents you may need to keep unchanged.
- Once the 180-day editing window has passed, you cannot edit the form anymore. Instead, you will need to create a new form with the updated information.
- When you edit and submit a form, the old PDF is overwritten and cannot be recovered. If you want to keep the original version, consider creating a new form instead of editing the existing one.
Why does the Edit button disappear?
This limitation helps protect you from unintentionally altering legal notices or documents that may be required in their original form for legal or administrative purposes. If you find the Edit button missing for your Section 21, RHW12, RHW16, Section 13, or any other form, simply create a new form with the updated dates or information.
