All tenants are entitled to know the name and address of their landlord by way of a notice.

This article only discusses what the tenants need to know where there is some change to the landlord's name or address.
Section 48 landlord and tenant act 1987 requires a landlord to furnish a tenant with an address in England or Wales.
A failure to provide an address results in any rent or service charge; otherwise, due from the tenant to the landlord shall be treated for all purposes as not being due from the tenant to the landlord at any time before the landlord does comply.

Section 48 Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 provides that a landlord must "by notice" give the tenant an address in England or Wales where the tenant can serve notices upon the landlord.
