Step-by-Step Guide: New Tenancy Agreement

To create a new tenancy agreement, including an assured shorthold tenancy (AST), contractual tenancy, lodger agreement, garage or storage, log in with your standard Guild credentials at https://docs.landlordsguild.com/.

Navigate to the "Tenancies" section in the sidebar.

Click "Add New Tenancy" in the top right corner and choose the relevant country.

You don't need a profile set up, but if you have one, you can select the profile you want (or press the button if only one is available). If not, continue filling in the fields without selecting a profile.

Choose the tenancy type (e.g., assured shorthold or occupation contract) and deposit status from the dropdown menus under primary fields.

Continue to complete all the other fields, and if you need help with any, please refer to the fields section of this help documentation.

Select "Save for later" on the final page if you wish to return before generating the PDF, or choose "Save and Build" to create the PDF. Then click submit.

The Builder will display the progress of the agreement creation in real time. Once completed, click the green "Completed" box, and the contract will be either downloaded to your computer or shown on the screen, depending on your browser's PDF settings.

To send the document for digital signing, click the actions button to the left of the agreement and select "Digital Signing".
